KVARTA Control System of Parameters

The system is designed for:

  • automatic continuous measurement of environment level and temperature in storage tanks;
  • computation (depending on the model variants) of:
    • amount of product in each storage tank;
    • total amount of product in tank battery;
    • void space in each storage tank and in tank battery;
    • product weight in each storage tank and tank battery;
    • weight of vapour phase in each storage tank and tank battery;
    • product level change rate;
    • expected filling (emptying) time of storage tank;
  • warning about:
    • minimum and maximum alert level;
    • maximum level of produced water;
    • interface level (stratification);
    • upper level of measured environment;
    • unauthorized alteration of controlled levels;
    • temperature variation in controlled environment (layer-by-layer or averaged by height).

      The system is comprised of:

    • measuring converter unit (MCU);
    • base unit (BU);
    • PC-based controller;
    • cable communication line between MCU and BU;
    • uninterruptible power supply (UPS).

    Explosion-proof design: 1ExibIIВТ5 for MCU and ExibIIВ for BU (Certificate of Conformity No. ТС RUС-RU.МЕ92.B00408 to requirements of Technical Regulations of the Customs Union ТР ТС 012/2011).

    Employment of the same cable line for power supply, control and transmission of probing and return data signals.

    Projection and warning alarm for prevention of controlled environment overflow.

    Kvarta Control System is manufactured as per technical specifications AGTS.407626.003 TU.

    System functions:

    monitoring of parameters of petroleum products (petroleum, gasoline, oil) and liquefied gases (propane, butane, ammonia).

    System fields of application:

    • management of process equipment;
    • warning alarm;
    • extraction of petroleum products;
    • storage of petroleum products and liquefied gases;
    • transportation of petroleum products and liquefied gases;
    • refining of petroleum products;
    • storage in tank farms and oil terminals.
